 "text": "RS 14:83.2\n\n\u00a783.2. Promoting prostitution\n\nA. Promoting prostitution is the knowing and willful control of, supervision of, or\nmanagement of an enterprise for profit in which customers are charged a fee for services\nwhich include prostitution, regardless of what portion of the fee is actually for the\nprostitution services.\n\nB.(1) Whoever commits the crime of promoting prostitution shall be fined not more\nthan five thousand dollars or imprisoned with or without hard labor for not more than two\nyears, or both.\n\n(2) Whoever commits the crime of promoting prostitution of persons under the age\nof eighteen years shall be fined not more than fifty thousand dollars, imprisoned at hard labor\nfor not less than fifteen years nor more than fifty years, or both, with at least five years being\nserved without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.\n\n(3) Whoever commits the crime of promoting prostitution of persons under the age\nof fourteen years shall be fined not more than seventy-five thousand dollars, imprisoned at\nhard labor for not less than twenty-five years nor more than fifty years, or both, with at least\nten years being served without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.\n\n(4) Repealed by Acts 2020, No. 352, \u00a72.\n\nActs 1984, No. 580, \u00a71; Acts 2012, No. 446, \u00a71; Acts 2013, No. 83, \u00a71; Acts 2014,\nNo. 564, \u00a71; Acts 2017, No. 180, \u00a71, eff.
