   "text": "(2) Whoever violates the provisions of this Section by distributing, manufacturing, or producing a fraudulent document for identification purposes shall be fined not more than five thousand dollars, or imprisoned with or without hard labor for not more than three years, or both.",

 "text": "RS 14:70.7\n\n\u00a770.7. Unlawful production, manufacturing, distribution, or possession of fraudulent\ndocuments for identification purposes\n\nA. It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly or intentionally produce,\nmanufacture, distribute, or possess fraudulent documents for identification purposes.\n\nB. For purposes of this Section:\n\n(1) \"Distribute fraudulent documents for identification purposes\" means to sell, give,\ntransport, issue, provide, lend, deliver, transfer, transmit, distribute, or disseminate fraudulent\ndocuments for identification purposes.\n\n(2) \"Fraudulent documents for identification purposes\" means documents which are\npresented as being bona fide documents which provide personal identification information\nbut which are, in fact, false, forged, altered, or counterfeit.\n\n(3) \"Personal identification information\" shall include but not be limited to a\nperson's:\n\n(a) Social security card.\n\n(b) Driver's license.\n\n(c) Credit card.\n\n(d) Debit card.\n\n(e) Electronic identification number.\n\n(f) Birth certificate.\n\n(g) Voter registration card.\n\n(h) Any proof of residency, including utility bills, bank statements, or other\ngovernment document showing the name and address of a person.\n\n(i) State-issued identification card.\n\n(j) Armed forces identification card.\n\n(k) Government-issued identification card.\n\n(l) Financial institution account card.\n\n(m) Visa or passport.\n\n(n) Student identification card.\n\n(4) \"Possess fraudulent documents for identification purposes\" means to possess\nfraudulent documents for identification purposes.\n\n(5) \"Produce or manufacture fraudulent documents for identification purposes\"\nmeans to develop, prepare, design, create, or process fraudulent documents for identification\npurposes.\n\nC.(1) Whoever violates the provisions of this Section by possessing a fraudulent\ndocument for identification purposes shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars or\nimprisoned for not more than six months, or both.\n\n(2) Whoever violates the provisions of this Section by distributing, manufacturing,\nor producing a fraudulent document for identification purposes shall be fined not more than\nfive thousand dollars, or imprisoned with or without hard labor for not more than three years,\nor both.\n\nD. It shall not be a defense to prosecution for a violation of this Section that a\nfraudulent document for identification purposes contains words indicating that it is a novelty\nitem or an indication that it is not a document for identification purposes.\n\nActs 2008, No. 253, \u00a71; Acts 2017, No. 87, \u00a71."
