 "text": "RS 14:29\n\nPART II. OFFENSES AGAINST THE PERSON\n\nSUBPART A. HOMICIDE\n\n\u00a729. Homicide\n\nHomicide is the killing of a human being by the act, procurement, or culpable omission of another. Criminal homicide is of five grades:\n\n(1) First degree murder.\n\n(2) Second degree murder.\n\n(3) Manslaughter.\n\n(4) Negligent homicide.\n\n(5) Vehicular homicide.\n\nAmended by Acts 1973, No. 110, \u00a71; Acts 1978, No. 393, \u00a71; Acts 1983, No. 635, \u00a71."
