 "text": "RS 14:142\n\nPART VIII. CONCLUDING PROVISIONS\n\n\u00a7142. Offenses committed prior to effective date of Code\n\nThis Code shall not apply to any crimes committed before July 29, 1942. Crimes committed before that time shall be governed by the law existing at the time the crime was committed."
