 "text": "RS 14:102.28\n\n\u00a7102.28. Transporting live feral swine prohibited; penalties\n\nA. It shall be unlawful to transport live feral swine by any person not in possession\nof proof of registration as a feral swine authorized transporter with the Louisiana Board of\nAnimal Health within the Department of Agriculture and Forestry.\n\nB. For the purposes of this Section, \"feral swine\" shall mean any hog, pig, or swine\nspecies, Sus scrofa , including but not limited to Russian and European wild boar and their\nhybrids that are running at large, free roaming, or wild upon public or private lands in this\nstate, and shall also include any hog, pig, or swine species that has lived any part of its life\nrunning at large, free roaming, or wild. The term feral swine shall also include any feral\nphenotype swine, whether or not running at large, free roaming, or wild.\n\nC. Whoever violates the provisions of this Section shall be fined not more than nine\nhundred dollars, or imprisoned for not more than six months, or both.\n\nD. The provisions of this Section shall not apply to \"Uncle Earl's Hog Dog Trials\"\nas defined in R.S. 49:170.10.\n\nActs 2018, No. 681, \u00a71."
